The pressures you're facing

Fund administration is getting harder

01
Clients want more, faster
Investors expect real-time data visibility, faster NAV turnarounds, and digital document exchange. Delivering that on legacy systems means adding headcount rather than adding technology.
02
Mandates are becoming more complex
Hybrid funds, multi-instrument structures, ESG obligations, and SFDR reporting have made every client mandate more complicated than the last. Your system has to handle it without custom development work for each client.
03
Regulatory requirements keep moving
CSSF Circular 24/856, AIFMD II, ILPA reporting standards, ESG/SFDR. Each change requires a system that can adapt without a six-month implementation project.
04
Document processing is a bottleneck
Quarterly portco reporting, LP documents, financial statements. Analysts spend days re-keying data from PDFs when they should be focused on oversight and client service.
05
Competitors are differentiating on technology
Larger administrators are investing in platform technology to win and retain mandates. Boutique firms need to offer comparable capability without enterprise-scale IT budgets.

daappa is built for this operating environment

We have been building fund administration technology for over 20 years. Our clients are boutique and mid-sized administrators who need the depth of an enterprise system and the flexibility to configure it themselves -- without relying on us for every change.

The combination of daappa Core for fund accounting and daappa Studio+ for data, analytics, and client portal gives administrators a complete technology stack. Core handles the back-office rigour. Studio+ handles the client-facing and intelligence layer above it.

Both are built on private markets data models, not adapted from generic accounting or BI tools. That matters when your clients run complex structures and your regulatory obligations are specific to this asset class.

With increasingly complex client needs including mandate management, and evolving regulatory pressure on administration, governance and risk management, we found in daappa a powerful yet flexible solution that allows us to scale our operations on demand while maintaining a high level of control and transparency.

The platform

Two products. One connected stack.

Most administrators start with daappa Core for fund accounting. Studio+ adds the intelligence and client-facing layer above it. They connect directly -- Core is the data source, Studio+ is the output layer.

Built to scale your operations without scaling your team

The commercial model for fund administration depends on margin per client and per fund. Technology that requires manual processing for every transaction, document, and report destroys that margin as volumes grow.

daappa's straight-through processing model is designed around multi-client, multi-fund volume. Transaction postings generate GL entries automatically. Reports schedule and distribute automatically. Extractor AI processes incoming documents without analyst intervention.

Single point of data entry that flows automatically to GL, reporting, and investor servicing
Batch operations for drawdowns, distributions, and valuations across multiple clients simultaneously
Automated task runner for scheduled reports, regulatory submissions, and workflow triggers
No-code configuration tools that let your operations team adapt workflows without IT involvement
Luxembourg and Channel Islands

Proven in the jurisdictions that matter most

daappa has active fund administrator clients in Luxembourg and the Channel Islands, with a local French-speaking team in Luxembourg. We understand the specific structures, regulatory standards, and reporting obligations of these markets.

Luxembourg

SIFs, RAIFs, SICAVs, and SCSps

Luxembourg is the second-largest fund domicile globally. Fund administrators servicing Luxembourg-domiciled funds need a system that understands the specific structures, regulatory standards, and French-language reporting obligations of the market.

  • SIF, RAIF, SICAV, SCSp, and SCA fund structures
  • CSSF regulatory reporting including BCL and AIFMD Annex IV
  • CSSF Circular 24/856 NAV oversight alignment
  • French-speaking daappa team based in Luxembourg
  • Luxembourg-specific chart of accounts and reporting templates
  • FATCA, CRS, and cross-border reporting obligations
Channel Islands and UK

Guernsey, Jersey, and UK-domiciled structures

daappa has longstanding clients in Guernsey and Jersey administering PE, private debt, and real asset funds. UK-authorised administrators benefit from AIFMD and FCA-aligned reporting and the same fund accounting depth applied to UK-domiciled structures.

  • Guernsey and Jersey Limited Partnership structures
  • UK AIFMD compliance and FCA reporting
  • Channel Islands regulatory reporting standards
  • ILPA reporting for LP investor communications
  • Development Finance Institution mandates (EBRD, BDC, Scottish Enterprise)
  • Multi-jurisdictional portfolios spanning multiple domiciles

As our investment portfolios have grown, our business found that its infrastructure was a series of tools with minimal integration. Working with the daappa team has provided us a means to continue developing our investment portfolio and grow without the infrastructure becoming a constraint on that growth.

Is daappa right for you?

The typical daappa fund administrator

Boutique or mid-sized administrator, typically 5 to 150 staff
Retained middle and back-office operations in-house
Administering PE, private debt, real assets, or hybrid fund clients
Luxembourg, Channel Islands, UK, or Middle East domicile
Managing tens to hundreds of funds across a growing client base
Needs deep regulatory reporting without bespoke development per client
Wants to differentiate on technology as well as service quality
Large global administrator (BNP, State Street, Apex at scale) — daappa is not the right fit

How a typical engagement starts

Most fund administrators come to daappa because their current system can't keep up with client complexity, or because they are building a new administration business and need a platform that can grow with them.

The discovery call maps your current setup -- fund types, client mix, regulatory obligations, and the specific gaps in your existing system. From there we scope an implementation that delivers results for your highest-priority use case first, rather than a 12-month big-bang project.

Some administrators start with daappa Core and add Studio+ components as they grow. Others implement the full stack from day one. Either approach works -- the products are designed to connect, not to force a particular sequence.

Implementation

How onboarding works

Every daappa implementation is scoped to your specific fund structures, client mix, and operating model. No generic rollouts. You work directly with the same senior team throughout.

Phase 1
Discovery and scoping
We map your current processes, fund structures, client base, and regulatory obligations. The output is an implementation blueprint that specifies configuration, data migration scope, and the go-live sequence. Typically two to four weeks for a mid-sized administrator.
Phase 2
Configuration and migration
Fund structures, investor profiles, charts of accounts, reporting templates, and workflow configurations are built out to your requirements. Historical data is migrated and validated. Parallel running begins ahead of go-live. No generic configuration -- everything reflects how your business actually works.
Phase 3
Go-live and support
Transition is managed with parallel running to protect continuity. Post-go-live support is delivered by the same people who built your configuration -- not a generic support team. Quarterly release cycles keep the platform current without disruptive major upgrades.
ISO certified
ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certified. Cloud-hosted on Microsoft Azure.

Common questions

Fund administrators — frequently asked

Does daappa replace our current fund accounting system?
Yes, if you implement daappa Core. Core is a full replacement for your existing fund accounting system -- not an overlay. The implementation process includes data migration from your current system and a parallel running period to ensure continuity. daappa Studio+ components can be added on top of Core or layered above a third-party fund accounting system where Core is not required.
Can we start with one component and add more later?
Yes. Most administrators start with daappa Core for fund accounting and add Studio+ components -- typically the Investor Portal and Extractor AI -- as their operations develop. Studio+ components are modular. You can add NAV Oversight, Analytics, or Compliance Monitoring independently. They connect to Core directly where both products are running.
Do you support Luxembourg fund structures?
Yes. daappa has active fund administrator clients in Luxembourg and a local French-speaking team. We support SIFs, RAIFs, SICAVs, SCSps, and SCA structures with CSSF regulatory reporting including BCL and AIFMD Annex IV. The platform is aligned with CSSF Circular 24/856 for NAV oversight obligations. Luxembourg is one of our core growth markets.
How does the Investor Portal work for our clients?
The Portal is deployed per fund manager client, branded with their identity. Your client's investors log in to their own branded environment -- they don't see daappa at all. You control document distribution, access rights, and what each investor can see. Capital account statements, fund documents, and performance reports are distributed directly from Core and DataHub into the Portal automatically.
What does implementation typically look like?
Every implementation is scoped individually based on your fund mix, client base, and current system. A straightforward boutique administrator implementing Core typically goes live in 10 to 16 weeks. More complex implementations with extensive historical data migration, multiple fund types, and Studio+ components take longer. We scope the timeline in the discovery phase before any commitment.
Is daappa suitable for an administrator being set up from scratch?
Yes. Several daappa clients have built their administration business on daappa from day one. Starting on daappa rather than migrating to it is easier -- no legacy data migration and no old processes to replace. The platform is designed to scale with your client base from a handful of funds to several hundred, so you are not buying something you will outgrow quickly.
