A key driver in our transformation to daappa, five years ago, was a desire to be a sustainable, environmentally and socially responsible business. We have been on a continuous journey of improvement since, across four pillars of social responsibility.
The CSR application process involved us reporting against the Social Responsibility 'Four Pillars' of achievement — a recognised framework used by financial services firms to measure and disclose their social responsibility performance.
Each Social Responsibility Pillar is designed to help firms report on areas such as energy performance, employee wellbeing, community engagement, and charitable giving. Whilst as a company daappa was already recycling and based in an energy-saving environment, we realised there was much more we could do — and committed to doing it.
Whilst as a company daappa was recycling and based in an energy-saving environment, we all realised there was much more we could do. We committed to formalising our CSR efforts and going through a structured process to benchmark where we stood and what we could improve.
The process required honest reporting — looking at how we heat our offices, how our team commutes, how we engage with local communities, and how we use our collective voice as a company to support causes that matter. The experience was valuable beyond the accreditation itself: it changed how we think about our responsibilities as an employer and a business.
We are proud of where we have reached, and we are committed to continuing the journey. CSR is not a project with an end date — it is a way of operating.
